"Do I Have to Sit Here?"

"Is This a Good Smile?"

"I'm Happy now!"
I think I need a Yellow Happy Chair.

Belle is growing so! Haven't seen a pic of her in awhile. I believe I see your smile.
Annette, I had the same thought as Karen about that smile. I love the story!!
My 24-year-old grandson used to have to do the time out chair at my house at the same age. He would get so mad when I said "you have to sit here for one minute" and would kick and have a tantrum right there in the chair. I would then say that's one more minute.
Okay... timeout stories ;) We used the bottom step for TO with the young g-kids and the 2.5 yr old wouldn't leave her baby sister alone. As baby M was getting praise for sitting up alone, P walked by, pushed her over and headed straight for the TO step... the opportunity to 'bob the baby' was apparently worth it. As a young teen, she still seems to think getting her own way is worth the punishment... sign...
Oh, dear. I do hope she doesn't have my 'chicken lips" when she gets older.
Belle is quite different from Lucy, talks like a four year old and tries anything, like to "be naked" so is always changing clothes and is at the stage where it is hard to get a quick photo of her. I was able to get this set of three because she HAD to sit still! I was surprised at the difference in her attitude when just changing the name of ' time out chair' to 'happy chair' -- thought that was a good approach for a lot of things.
I added minutes, too -- always hated doing it.
Karen, I love that - "bob the baby" indeed! There are a few of us older folks who still think the same way -- that getting our way is worth it! Good story.
