The bitter cold of the last weeks in February have been chased away. The grass is growing in the warming sun and I have been torn between working on indoor projects and the need for clearing winter debris in the yard.
My bright orange string trimmer and I took a break to enjoy the afternoon with Lucy and Belle. Later I played with the Animoto application which Martha has used so beautifully with her abstract paintings. I had done one or two on my iPhone, so technically, this is not my first. Now, if I can just figure out how to embed it here.
It is hard to believe this is March 10th!

Fun to watch the sisters play together and such a great way to show them off.
Judy Terry said I can't believe you let them "swim" in March. Don't you remember the Southern maxim about not going barefoot until Memorial Day? You must have had lots warmer weather than we did!
Karen, The girls are really beginning to getting to a fun age. I loved using the photos in this little widget, but choosing on a few to fit the 30 seconds is tough. Like you, I find this time of the year to pull me between outdoor chores and house and studio time. The day was so warm, it seem perfect for getting out the pool. It was a good excuse to stop cutting and pulling weeds!
Aw, Judy. When it's 80 degrees and sunny, Memorial Day is only a number on the calendar! However. I still feel funny about wearing white shoes after Labor Day.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy... they grow so fast... take lots and lots of pictures. Mine are either entering teens or pushing it and I guess we keep trying to recapture that early delight using the lake house and boating as a draw. But the teen years weren't my best to deal with last time around. My 'baby' is 8... going on 12.
Comments from classmates who are getting ready for the BIG reunion indicate the best part of being a grandparent are "feeling younger," "having more patience this time," and "enjoying little stuff again." All of it is true.
8?!! WOW! But the oldest ones will soon be ready for their own and you can start again with great-grandchildren!
